Failing the Turing Test (Nov. 16th, 2007): Democratic Congress
Harry Reid and the Democratic Congress fail the Turing Test this week by maintaining their robotic effort to place a withdrawl timetable in the latest war spending bill, just as the tide really seems to be turning.
In 1999, I finished my first novel, Sparkwood and 21, just after my first son was born. Needless to say, life has intervened and it is too late to return to it. It is completed, though un-edited. Classify it as a work of experimental sci-fi, with a ton of insane character names as well as obvious and obscure pop culture references.
Each day that passes adds evidence to one of the inexorable facts of our existence: it is not unique and, if we survive as a species, we will eventually encounter extra-terrestrial life.
