Heard a description of this book on NPR. It sounds like one of those classic American tales where quackery drives new markets and innovation. The subject of the book uses goat-glands to cure impotentence.
Mitt Romney is opposed ("every child deserves a mother and a human/half-man, half-goat father" won't cut it in middle America). Forget Viagra. Viva Mutton Balls!

Sparkwood and 21: My First Novel (Free .pdf)
In 1999, I finished my first novel, Sparkwood and 21, just after my first son was born. Needless to say, life has intervened and it is too late to return to it. It is completed, though un-edited. Classify it as a work of experimental sci-fi, with a ton of insane character names as well as obvious and obscure pop culture references.
